INGREDIENT - Serves 2
- 450 grams firm tofu, cubed
- 1/4 cup of cornflour
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon of ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons red habanero chilli jam
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato puree
- 1 cup of water
To serve:
- Rice
- Green veggies of choice
- Sesame seeds
METHOD
- Cut tofu into cubes, put in a mixing bowl with cornflour and toss to completely coat the tofu with cornflour.
- In a saucepan, heat oil. Add tofu to the pan and cook until golden.
- Mix together the garlic, ginger, red chili jam, soy sauce, tomato puree, and water, then add it to the pan and stir through.
- Continue cooking and sitrring until the sauce thickens.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds over tofu and serve with rice and greens of your choice.
